Homesick

Do you remember what we talked about the previous lesson? We said the singer felt homesick: she misses her country, her home.

Imagine you travel to another country.

1) Where would you travel?

2) Do you think you will miss your country if you go abroad?

3) Would you travel abroad to learn another language? Why/why not?

Imagine you have to tell your parents that you are leaving to another country. Write them a short note with the following information:

• The person you're writing to (Dear Mum, Dear John, etc..)
• The reason (I'm writing to tell you that...)
• The country you want to go to. (.. I'm going to go abroad/I'm going to go to ....)
• Why you want to go there
• A goodbye note.

Be creative! When you finish the letter, everybody in this class will travel to an English speaking country in our minds... let's learn together!
